FIRST-TIME SUN 73 INSTRUCTOR CERTIFIERS: Candidates should ideally be certified Fall Prevention Tai Chi instructors, having had one or two years of Sun 73 form practice with another Tai Chi Vermont instructor, and should be ready to demonstrate teaching any Sun 73 movement effectively.
SUN 73 INSTRUCTOR RECERTIFIERS: All Sun 73 instructors who certified or recertified in 2024 are due to recertify this fall.
Certifying (or recertifying) in Sun 73 will also recertify Fall Prevention Tai Chi instructors in that form as well.
AUDITORS: Students who are familiar with the Sun 73 form but are not interested in teaching it may use this training simply to enjoy a day or two of intensive training.
The fee for certification is $350; recertification is $175; auditors pay $50/day. A $50 fee is required for all registrations. Instructors supported by one of the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) may be reimbursed for the registration fee and the agency will be billed the balance ($300 for a certification and $125 for a recertification). Please check with your agency for details. Independent instructors will need to pay the balance two weeks prior to the training date, if not paid with registration (see the “Pay Your Training Balance Here” product on the registration page).
