Certification and Re-certification Trainings
Balmy weather and a wonderful group of new instructors. Training in Fall Prevention Level One took place March 31 and April 1 at Castleton Commmunity Center.
Prepare well for your training —
When you register, training videos will be sent to you so that you can pre-learn the tai chi movements. The energy you put into your pre-learning will help you succeed in becoming a safe and effective instructor.
PLEASE REGISTER EARLY SO YOU CAN GET STARTED WITH THE PRE-LEARNING RIGHT AWAY.
2024 Training Schedule
April 4 and 11, FPTC Level Two Certification, Aldrich Public Library, Barre, Leaders: Ellie Hayes and one other Trainer
April 20-21 , 9:30-4:30 each day, FPTC Level One Certification, Londonderry, Leaders: Laurie Knauer and Anne Bower. For this workshop there is also a required preliminary Zoom session on April 6th from 9:30-12:30.
July 18 and 25, FPTC Level Three Certification & Recertification, Aldrich Memorial Library, Barre, Leaders: Ellie Hayes and one other Trainer
August 3-4, FPTC Level Two Certification (Recertification open too), Londonderry, Leaders: Laurie Knauer and Anne BowerOc
September 19 &20 FPTC Level 1, Barre,(8:45-4:00 both days) with pre-requisite ZOOM session Mon Sept 9, 9 am-12 noon, Leader: Ellie Hayes
October 17 & 18, Sun 73 Certification and Recertification; includes re-certification for those already certified in all 3 levels of Fall Prevention Tai Chi, Charlotte Congr. Church, Leaders: Ellie Hayes and others (note—Recertifiers may attend one day only, although we recommend both days).
November 23-24, FPTC Level Three Certification & Recertification, Londonderry, Leaders,Laurie Knauer and Anne Bower

Attention all Instructors: If there's a workshop you need and don't see above, please email Anne and let her know. Anne will collect all responses and report them to the group of Authorized Trainers so that we can better arrange workshops to meet your needs.
Need Financial Assistance ?
Tai Chi Vermont maintains a small scholarship fund just for this purpose. Depending on demand and the amount of the fund, we can support up to 50% of a workshop's cost. For information please contact Chris Curtis, curwit@gmail.com.
